Overheating when charging

I live in the northeast part of india, so its not very hot like the north of india.

how the hell the my 1month old np2a heats up so much?

Also I only use it for casual use as most of my work i do is from my laptop & when i charge it, phone reaches upto to 42° (i use the cmf nothing charger) how is this normal? NOTHING!!!

FIX this. I am seriously annoyed by it, previously i had a redmi which was way cheaper than np2a still it never heats up on casual use.

Please Nothing do something about this.

Since when does the battery temperature have anything to do with the device age? And since when are 42 degrees “overheating”?

This is a community forum. Unfortunately your post above is far away from being one to note and discuss a potential issue with community members .

If you just wanna complain / report your dissatisfaction to nothing, it is may most expedient, to file that directly to the Nothing support, as Derren mentioned.

Do you happen to have any other data? I’m not seeing the 42 degrees you mentioned.

Based on various articles and studies you can find online, while not ideal for extended periods of time, this is still within an acceptable temperature range.

When performing any intensive tasks or charging, it’s perfectly normal for the temperature to rise, especially with generally warmer environmental temperatures (but not limited to)

If you’re seeing these kinds of temperatures when none of the above conditions are met and you have further concerns then be sure to reach out to support for further guidance.

[gelöscht] Well for nothing, I’m sure this is overheating cuz the charging speed sucks at this temperature & I think nothing has set ideal charging below 38 degree🥴

42 °c is not overheating for charging phone which delivers watts more than 25….but if it crosses 48° or 50°…the charge freezes and only resume when the temp gets low ..so be chill
