After the scuffle with Flipkart India, I finally received my phone (1), and it’s amazing, feels so good to be a part of this from the beginning.

I thought of creating a thread of some essential apps and features that are missing from the phone (1).

Weather app! Tapping on any of the weather widget opens up accuweather website on chrome! Would like to have a dedicated app or redirect it to google weather page!

MargaretLuby Nothing much comes preinstalled, just the basic apps, bloatware free and pure android experience. However, phone (1) still requires fine-tuning certain features and apps.

SuzAndroid Scrolling Screenshot is available, buggy though, maybe it can be fixed via a OTA update.

@alnstian97 Is the Android 12’s long screenshot (capture more) feature not implemented on the Nothing phone? Or you’re looking for even longer shots that work in all apps?

singhnsk I seems to only work on certain apps/pages. I’ve reported this bug.

RobIgo This is what I love about the community.

Also found another weird bug; While connecting headphones via a Type C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter, on mictests.com the mic input is working fine, although, while normal calling the audio input ain’t working.

Could you test, and report this bug too…?

Agree with gallery app. And is there a way to get the weather widget to display in F°? Or change which weather app it opens when pressed?

MargaretLuby You can change it to display F° in the widget settings.

I don’t think you can change it going to AccuWeather, which is a shame.

It would be nice if you could control volume for specific apps while in them. Xoami does something like that and it’s really nice to prevent suddenly loud ads and videos.

Agree with File Manager and Gallery. I also miss a QR reader in the camera

I heard there was some button you tap within the Camera app to scan QR codes.

sean (1) I opened the camera app, then the google lens button and pointed at the qr code and it worked.
