Still no joy for me!

Installed the new update, essential glyphs didn’t work, so uninstalled, rebooted as described, disabled the debug function, but I am back to no glyph notifications working at all. The glyph torch does work through.

What am I still doing wrong?

MarkFrancis I’m sorry for that, you seem to have a rough experience with this.

Are you on the last NOS update? Did you allow the app to read your notifications when entering the notification tab?
The feature only works when the phone is locked so keep in mind that. Have you tried mapping an app instead of a contact and see if that works?

Was working on previous update but in this update its broken for me ,

Tried multiple contacts but not working.

It would be really great if I could get this app to work as you have, it would enhance my phone in ways that Nothing have failed to do.

Did you try other community apps that interact with Glyph interface? Are those working for you?

I’m sorry but I’m kind of out of idea, the app works for a lot of users and without physical access to your device is hard to tell what is wrong here

Not tried any other apps, didn’t know that there were others, but I am quite new to the community.

I am not the most teach-savvy person, so it is probably some setting I have got wrong somewhere. I will keep trying with it!

MarkFrancis there are other apps you can try, I saw on reddit a Compass app, there is also Simone

muhkuhaushonolulu the “freezing” is a intend, to be able to pulse the light the phone needs to stay awake and it consumes more battery. Right now it pulses for 2 minutes and then goes to static, maybe I can increase it a little but the impact on the battery depends on different things (e.g. the app you have installed and that will use CPU in background since it’s awake).
For the same reason, new dynamic animations will have the same constraint. Anyway, I like your idea.. will see what I can do.

An idea for the glyph zone that is used for battery indicator on 2a: what if we could use this zone more funny like a Knight Rider (or snake) light bar for notifications? Or other animations . Just because of it capabilities… what do you think?

And i got some problems with the notification pulse light. After a few on/off cycles it freezes and stays on

I have a question probably a dumb question but does glyphify work with the battery indicator when it syncs with the music

Devyn I haven’t checked, some user on reddit discovered that Music visualization doesn’t work with Glyphify active. Honestly I don’ t know why, the rest of Nothing stuff works with Gliphify running

SankarGuru Extended essential doesn’t turn on sound for notifications, just glyphs

MarkFrancis There’s your culprit! That’s fundamental for extended essential to work, go into settings app -> Apps -> Gliphify -> three dots in top right corner, then go back to the Gliphify and grant the permission

Devyn i have checked and can confirm that music visualizer doesnt work with glyphify, but flip to glyph does (on 2a)

I am going through the install process again, I have got to the restricted setting in the device and app notifications where it says “For your security, this setting is currently unavailable”.

Should I enable this function or leave it as it is?

Tentative progress, I tried again and got a result with Gmail illuminating a different glyph! 😁

I must have done something different, but don’t know what… 🤔

Flip to Glyph always worked for me with Glyphify, I am using a 2a

Would it be possible to disable the charging status led at night on the 2a?

Or just respect the Glyphs lights setting? When they are off don’t turn the lights on.
