I’ve had the watch for a few days and it seems to be detecting how I sleep during the night.

However when I fall asleep in my arm chair it does not detect this, is there anyway to fix this or is falling a sleep sitting down fooling the sensors on the watch?

fred8559 watch not detecting sleep while sitting is another thing, but honestly I will suggest to you not sleep while sitting on a chair. Not good for your back health. Sleeping in right posture is very very important.

Strange, my watch 2 detects sleep even when I don’t have it on my hand. I wouldn’t trust these readings too much.

The “sleeping” while sitting also happens with the original Watch Pro as well.

myNameIsMaciek same..I removed my watch for 2 hrs and kept it back on my wrist, it recorded sleep cycle graph for those 2 hours

I didn’t even wear the watch to bed but kept it on my desk when I go to sleep and apparently it still tracked my sleep😂. this has happened multiple times and I’ve even reported the issue. Is anyone else faced the same thing?

fred8559 I’ve got the original version and I’m sure there’s something in the settings about if you activate the Stand up alert, it deactivates the snooze function, or something like that. But if you have the new watch, it might be a bit different?

krishnanandA Yes, its a bug. I daily face this issue with sleeping inaccuracies. Just one ago the watch recorded my 30 mins sleep even though the watch was on desk for straight two hours.

We all should report this to CMF so that they can fix this sleep tracking bug.

Hey there just picked one of these up and comparing the data from it and a Google/Fitbit Charge 6. Wearing both for portions of the day and for sleep. A lot of the data is fairly equal or within a small margin like steps. Blood oxygen seems to be spot on.

Sleep is way different though. First, the daily sleep numbers are not showing up in the daily detail at all, only in the day at a glance and in the weekly summary. Second, it is calculating way to much deep sleep whatever it’s definition of that is…6 hours of an 8 hour night. Whereas my norm is something like an 1.25 hours.

Any thoughts on all that? Should I reset the watch to get the daily detail working?

I have got the following official response from Team CMF regarding Sleep data inaccuracies. What you guys think on following explanation?

The heart rate detection principle is to collect light and electrical signals. Some materials in items such as sofas and leather bags are similar to the light and electrical signals produced by the human body, which may be mistaken for a body worn by the watch and produce a heart rate value. This is currently limited by technology and cannot be completely avoided.

The sleep detection based on wearing detection also uses the principle of light and electrical signals, and there will be similar phenomena to the heart rate value. This is a common phenomenon in similar products, and there is no problem with the product itself.

Our genuine leather strap is closer to human skin and is more likely to produce false identification. Please do not fold the leather strap into the watch case when not wearing it. Please use it with confidence and contact us again if you have any other concerns.

        Kind regards,
