You know what Android’s biggest competetor isn’t iOS, it’s Android itself. Different OEMs are competing with each other to sell their devices, even they have made their own flavour (Nothing OS, One UI) so that every company can distinct themselves from each other.
BassimBinYoosaf samsung has specific apps for there users to share app which 2x faster compared to quick share . So it would be good if users have an app for sharing between nothing specifically and quick share separately.
Recently Google partnered with Samsung and rebranded Nearby Share as Quick Share and now it’s same. Device specific feature would have worked if it were 2015-16 when AOSP features weren’t good and OEMs had to develop their own features for convenience, but not anymore. As you were talking about Samsung, let’s talk about their “S Note” app, which is a very good note taking app with lots of features but that app is only available on Samsung devices. For example you have taken hundreds of notes and then decided to change your device, then what? You can’t access those notes because of the Samsung’s proprietary app. But with Google Keep you can access notes on any device, even on PC.
