I successfully claimed a warranty 3 months ago,1 to 1 exchange, after using a couple of months, I started to discover something else. Nothing phone 2 truly has touchscreen issues, even my new unit also has certain issues.
First of all, if the phone comes out from the box, that thin plastic film screen protector does not affect touch responsiveness very much, I still can feel something wrong, but overall useable.
Once apply a tempered glass screen protector, no matter what brand you use, since it increases the thickness of the screen, the touch responsiveness issue becomes worse, and you will often feel touch issues.
Throw away any screen protector does help, but I think that is still something wrong… how come modern smartphones cannot apply a screen protector?
I came out with the idea to use fingernails to test touch responsiveness, but the results were odd.
I think my previous opinion was right, there is something wrong with the touch-sensitive level auto-adjust in the background.

I test it when the touch responsiveness issue appears, using my fingernail to slide on the screen, it almost cannot detect it, but once I turn off the screen and turn it on again, seems like the touch responsiveness level auto set to high again, then magic happens, even use fingernail slide on screen, mostly can detect.
How come touch response levels behave differently and randomly???

Another touch issue happens like this, you will feel difficulty sliding on the screen, phone itself will behave like randomly selecting something else for you. the root cause remains to poor touch responsiveness issue, sometime it registers your first contact points as select something else, not a slide gesture.
But most of the time, if you turn off the screen and turn it on again, seems like the touch responsiveness level will increase again, the easy way to know for sure, use a fingernail to slide on the screen, if most can detect, then everything should be fine. but when cannot detect fingernails, then you know this stupid issue appear again, so you better restart the phone or do something else, keep using the phone will ruin your mood.
Overall, very disappointed. I don’t know if nothing development team will fix this issue in the future or not. but I already use my phone as a backup phone for now, imagine using it as the main phone, but sometimes cannot scroll down to search the contact list to call someone else, it always selects something else randomly.it is a nightmare.
