Greetings,
TL;DR I think that it would be real nice if by connecting a USB-C data cable to the charging case of the Bud Pros you could get low latency wireless connectivity where the case acts as an antenna/dongle.
Why am I posting this here?: Well I really like the product design from nothing for one, but I feel like if anyone were to make something like this that I would actually go out and buy, it would be from CMF’s line of Bud Pros. My hope is that someone from the product team will see this and consider this as feature in their next iteration.
For a tiny bit of insight about myself and why these features would be nice: I’m a college student who also plays videogames my fair share. I spend a decent amount of time playing FPS games and a lot of my time commuting.
I’m currently running Razer Barracuda Xs. They have something pretty close to what I mean, minus the cruddy firmware.
Issue 1.) Sound quality
I’ve never been able to make these things loud or sound that good which makes gaming a pain. This is something that IEMs can do a lot better
Issue 2.) Switching between bluetooth and 2.4 ghz
The firmware feels clunky to use because if you switch to bluetooth without being connected, it will make you connect to something before you switch back or you just have to restart the headset. It would be incredibly clever if the charging case had a switch on it in order to switch between modes.
Issue 3.) Materials
I’ve probably only owned these headphones for a year and a half, but man they are just falling apart. The cushions are toast and the sound dial messes with the sound volumes unequally. All in all, it feels like they were made to break. This is primarily the reason why I would like my next headphones to be IEMs.
Wish list.)
In my headphones, I really want to see: an even quarter decent mic; low latency for playing games; intuitive firmware; and while we’re making a wish list, toggle between ANC and something like Bose’ “aware mode” or Sony’s “ambience mode”
