For myself I’m a big gamer and I play a lot of different kind of games, while my favorite genre is survival and story games. I’m mostly gaming on PC but started back then with a Super Nintendo 64.

A few of my favorites below:

Metro - The whole franchise combines literally everything I like. Super atmospheric survival, shooter story game. If someone of you is into such, give it a try it’s worth it!

Project Zomboid - It’s in active devolpment since 2013. You need to survive a Zombi infected world with perma death and base building. If you die, you lose all earned skills and turn into an own Zombi. You’re able to start with a fresh character but every experience gained is lost. (Super hard game)

The Dark Pictures Anthology - Each game is an Interactive survival horror game with an own story and nice twists (Make sure to play it with friends 😄)

But what about you? Do you have any favorite games? If yes, which platform? Even if it’s just a silly smartphone game which you may play once a week but still like a lot! It’s also okay if you stopped playing games duo time issues or something like this, even older / retro games you played back then are welcome 😃

I am not a gamer. But I play only mobile games at lot. I try out new mobile games and I mostly play Call of Duty : Mobile. I love that game.

Previously in my childhood I used to play a lot of games. I played Mario and Contra most of the time. They are epic games. Wish I could bright back those games which we used to play on keyboard and tv.

I agree the mobile Version of COD is super fun, haven’t played it in a while but I played it a lot not so long ago 😄

And yes, mario + contra is one of the best all time classic’s. I thought about getting maybe again an old console just to get the same feeling from back then 😄

Great to see this thread pop up @Kastello !

I’ve been a PlayStation gamer for the past couple of years, mostly playing Call of Duty, Hitman, and party-esque games when friends are over like, Overcooked and Moving Out.

My all-time favourite game is The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - without question one of the best titles the GBA ever saw.

I’m really looking forward to playing Stray, which comes out next year, the artwork looks amazing, and you get to play as a cat! 😆

If anyone fancies talking about Nothing on PSN, give me a shout!

        Rob ⚡️

I sadly never finished Minishcap! I think I was stuck somewhere and couldn’t find help 😅.

Hmm maybe I should search for it and finish it, liked it a lot back then!

          Kastello

Definitely! I actually re-played it last year on my phone with an emulator - it’s still as good as I remember!

Did you play many of the other Zelda titles? I know it’s a hot debate to pick a favourite ☺️

            Kastello

Used to be a gamer (vice city days) but now playing the game of life. It has much more rounds, challenges, victories and that too without cheat codes, shortcuts and “save progress” option.

Those days of Vice city, Dave, Contra, Tank/Battle City, Wolf 3D were awesome. Not sure anyone of you is from that age 😋…mostly @Surya_8055 is from that age

When I was a little kiddo back in 2000, I got my first Game Boy COLOR that I totally loved. I played a lot of Pokémon (Yellow, OFC!). Since the screen wasn’t lit up, you had to have a little portable LED light that you plugged into the device, totally draining the battery LOL! During the pandemic, I actually found my way back as I found my old collection of Pokémon cards. I started collecting again and find it very nice to scroll through all the pages of my Pokémon card collection. Are any of you TCG collectors nowadays?

In my teenage years, I spent a lot of hours on my XBOX 360 playing the COD games (started in COD 5: World at War) and on my PC I did a lot of Counter Strike 1.6 (mostly PCW’s and did a lot of KZ/HnS as well). Those were the times. I had NOTHING to worry about except getting good at gaming and trying to finish school with decent grades. Growing up makes you realize how much time all the musts in life actually take. Time flies.

Nowadays, I don’t have any spare time to sit down to play video games. I still own a XBOX Series S that I power on to play a couple of hours every half-year or so. I still enjoy it, but it is becoming so tiring to sit down and play too often. That also causes me to suck every time I play, since I’ve lost the sleight of hand of the controller… I start from scratch everytime I play, and all the kiddos totally ruins me (K/D = 0,000001)

Surya_8055 I mostly play Call of Duty : Mobile. I love that game.

Oh, must try it out. I’m following the streamer StoneMountain64 that plays COD Warzone which brings a lot of intensity at times, so I figure the mobile version could be fun too. Looks like the graphics have improved a lot since I played any 3D games on my phone (years ago), I now notice I’m getting old lol 🤣

                FilipJacobson

Haha try COD: mobile. The graphics have been significantly improved. I have been playing the game from the past 2 years. Last month itself it has completed 2nd anniversary celebration.

If you still follow YouTube Gamers. The gaming enthusiastic inside you is still alive 😂😂. Your not old enough 😜.

                  Surya_8055

Hehe yes, that is true.. The gamer will probably live forever inside me ;-)

Are you hooking up your phone to any controller or just “gaming on the screen”?

“Gamer” is a term I find quite strange, but Video Games and Table Top RPG’s (D’n’D) are some of my long term pass-times.

Primarily a Playstation console user, I play what I can when I can. I’ve sank a lot of time into rouge-lites (likes?) namely The Binding Of Isaac, Hades and recently I’d argue that Returnal fits nicely.

The big names, God Of War, Uncharted, GTA, Call Of Duty and more have crossed my radar. One that is notably missing from my library is the Zelda games! This is something I’ve been intending to fix for a little while and as we approach the holiday season I may find time to.

My game library goes quite far back. Tetris Effect being the best surprise for me over the last 3 years, experiencing the demo on PSVR blew me away and was an immediate purchase and looks even better on my most recent purchase of an LG OLED TV.

I could talk Video Games for a long time, but a notable mention for me is Dungeons and Dragons! In my second year of university, my flatmate got me to roll a character, see past my presumptions of the hobby and embrace the aspect of Role(roll)-Playing! I played a Tiefling Warlock for ~3 years during my time at university, playing every other week and telling a homebrew story using the 5E system.

Taking a break after leaving university, we started up a new campaign in March 2020 that was set in the same universe. Switching over to playing over Roll 20 along with Discord for communication, we’ve been playing weekly (currently on a 4 week hiatus). Aside from this, I’ve attempted DM’ing, which I really enjoy but the group are completely new and we are ironing out a few things.

                    Do Mobile games count?

In that case, I play a lot of super-cell games. Anyone familiar with Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars?

If not I suggest not playing them, their extremely competitive once you start getting into them. Maybe if that’s your thing then go ahead and try one out, Clash Royale is Definitely the most laid back of the three but it still requires you to put hundreds of hours into the game if you at the very least want to be considered mediocre. I’ve been playing Royale for a little over five years now and I still haven’t even maxed my account out.

Overall I just think mobile games get a lot of flack. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Well read my post: “But what about you? Do you have any favorite games? If yes, which platform? Even if it’s just a silly smartphone game which you may play once a week but still like a lot!” 😛

I never played clash Royale or similar games I might should give it a try 😄

Do we have LoL players here?

                      • Al_ replied to this.

                        basile Yes sir!

Can’t say I’m on it too much these days but still enjoy it, best I got to was silver-ii a couple of years ago. Alistar is my main but has suffered this season, who’s your main?

Any Valorant players? Been a while since I’ve played it since I moved to college! Sadly I have a MacBook now. I keep watching live streams of people playing and regret purchasing a Mac 😆

Hey everyone, thought I’d chip in to see if there’s anyone else playing the same and/or similar games. Personally, I find this time of year to be overwhelming because of the number of AAA game releases, so it’s hard to balance my time. Currently I’m playing:

                        PS5:
                        - Battlefield 2042
                        - Warzone (Pacific when it launches)
                        - FIFA (only because PES isn’t around this year)

                        PC:
                        - Forza Horizon 5
                        - Football Manager 2022
