Touch doesnt work when the phone is lying flatly

Hi, so my Nothing phone (1) doesnt really respond well when it is on a flat service. example if the phone is lying flat on the bed and i need open a app or drag down the notification bar, it doesnt respond well but as soon as i pick the phone even a centimetre, it works fine. please help me with this.

Check your tap to wake is turned on or it won’t wake up.

I am also facing the same issue, with both a13 and a14 latest build. It is not in sleep or locked state. While watching video or unlocked state, it is not responding to any gesture or touch.
