I’m a user of NP2, bought it on last September 28, daylight. From my iPhone 4 days, iPhone 5s days, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 days, Poco X3 Pro days, whenever there’s a new stable OS update, I ALWAYS look for reviews on YouTube. How will they affect my device, how’s their performance, etc etc.
BETA OS is not trouble free, like how we saw from posts above, there’s issue and bug here and there. I don’t understand mobile phone OS very much, so I never update my phone right away on the first day, let alone participating in BETA testing. If something bad happens to my phone, hard reset or factory reset is the minimal damage I can think of, with a possibility of brick being the worst case scenario.
What will happen to my phone if there’s an error? Can it be fixed? If so, what’s the process to do so? Is it difficult? My phone 2 cost 850USD (I’m in Indonesia, that is the price of tax-registered phone 2 of 12GB/512GB, not to mention we don’t have Nothing official store with technician help here). OS is a serious matter in mobile phone and cannot be taken lightly. And no, I’m not trying to scare you or anything, just stating the facts.
So, to my fellow NP2 users who feels disappointed, be patient and trust the Nothing team. You bought your NP2 phone with your hard earned money for a reason. Remember that reason. However if that reason gets outweighed by your disappoinment in Nothing team, you can switch to other manufacturers if you like; Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Google, you name it; no one will stop you. It’s your choice.
But hey, it’s my opinion. I merely voiced out my view as one of NP2 users. I personally didn’t feel left out, because buying NP2 is my choice in the first place. Nothing did not promise me any previlege for it.
Nothing team releases a post regarding this matter. Here’s the link in case you haven’t read it: https://nothing.community/d/17969
