I just tested the new beta 3.0 version on my Nothing Phone 2a, and it works well, but the Dot font is gone, which is a big disappointment for me.
I understand that others may like the new font for readability, but the Dot font was great, readable for me, and it fit the aesthetic and ethos of the phone. Now, thereâs only a very âmehâ font for a very âmehâ design that dilutes the deviceâs identity and what made it unique.
Itâs the same with the clocks on the lock screenâtheyâre fine, but the Dot font is poorly implemented and borderline unusable due to the oversized dots. With these clocks, the phone just seems like another iPhone wannabe, again diluting the phoneâs identity.
Could we at least keep the option of using the old Dot font?
