CMF Phone - Replacement Screen Part

HI all!

My dear CMF by Nothing Phone, brand new and bought upon dispatch in pre-sale by 199€ has had a shattered screen, even with gel protection. My bad luck, I guess.

I live in Portugal, and I would love to know if any1 here knows of a technician that could help me out. The main office has offered to replace the screen, but with the cost of sending my phone and receiving it again the cost goes up to 100€ and I would really like to spare some €, since this is half the price of the phone.

Hey mate, I’d suggest contacting Nothing/CMF support for assistance, if you haven’t already https://nothing.tech/pages/contact-support - I know opting for official service(s) can be expensive but, it is worthwhile as they’ll use genuine parts.

Thx mate, I have already done that. When I say main office, I meant the company: Nothing/CMF. But to repeat myself, the parts may be genuine, but to spend 100€ +/- on a phone that cost me 199€ is a stretch. Do you understand that? 🙂

this is a clutch situation….. I mean, the center is not at your location, courier cost is half of price of the phone. hope they resolve it soon without much cost.

Doesn’t look like its gonna be easy. I have reached to a lot of stores here in Lisbon, Portugal. Official and non official and I got to the curious conclusion that in spite of such a low budget phone, I can’t find an alternative. And for an all too expensive iPhone, I can. Even if its not great quality. Ironic.

may be they can send the device back after repair on brands budget since brands may tie up with courier service as an exception imo.

Jay i have resend an email and it got worse, they say they need to evaluate the damage after receiving the equipment. Aint that a bummer… I can’t be left in the dark about the cost…

I find it unusual that I can’t find any spare parts.

It could be because the CMF1 is assembled in India rather than China/Asia (American definition, not British) and I’m looking in the wrong locations or in the wrong languages,
