Swapping a OIS-equipped camera module into CMF1

I’m loving this phone but would like to perform a camera upgrade on the CMF1.

It has a rear 50mp camera with the IMX882 sensor. It seems that the Poco F6 has the same sensor with OIS and the pinout looks similar.

Anyone fancy a used Poco F6 rear camera swap into the CMF1?

The best you can do is see what are the dimensions of the camera module and the difference in the pin connector maybe? Otherwise, it’s a very good idea if you ask me!

The question is whether it will work with nothing’s software because the camera also depends on the phone’s software and not just on the sensor itself.

vovan-v correct. However, the sensor is the same and I assume that the raw data stream is thusly the same. I’ve seen people run into issues with 8-bit versus 10-bit, which is why I’m looking for a module with the same sensor and OIS built into the hardware module itself.

Hey mate, this wouldn’t be possible…

(a) You’d need to make sure the camera module has fits in the same space.
(b) You’d need to make sure the camera module has the same connections as the CMF Phone(1)
© You’d have to rewrite your phone’s software to get info on and off the camera.

Nice idea in principle but, an impossible lift in practice.
