Hello Community,
I would like to propose something new and interesting to involve the members of this forum who are interested in learning a little bit of old-style Android programming: Java and XML.
In life I make apps, even if my studies were in the field of Industrial Chemistry. I think I owe a lot of thanks to the XDA Developers forum for this, where I developed a passion for programming, making me completely change my path in life, doing what I really like.
My proposal would be to take a project of mine, currently available on Google Play, which is an app to receive notifications about news from this forum in terms of news and software updates called Nothing News, and rebuild it from the beginning by posting one commit at a time on an open source code platform (for example GitHub), where we will see the algorithms behind the construction of a simple app.
I realize that all this requires a minimum of knowledge in the field of coding, but it would take a little effort to learn the syntax of Java and it would be easy to read and understand.
Obviously the idea would be to implement one function at a time, so as to have time to learn, also through Q&A here in the discussion.
Are you interested?
PS: There won’t be a set schedule, I’ll do it in my spare time.
