Same problem, each time the battery dies, it also impacts the longevity of the battery, I have the buds for like ~3-4 months, and now it can last usually about 1,5h ANC with high volumes. Its quite tragic. I need to look for another earbuds in the market. Or please launch an Ear3 with an actual proper battery life.

Hello, everyone! Do you know why headphones for $50 can play longer with LHDS and noise cancellation enabled, while headphones for $150 can play up to 4 hours with AAC + noise cancellation?

I was tired of enduring this and just sold my ear 2 and bought oneplus 2 pro. I will buy ear again only when they solve this problem with the battery.

johannes_m My headphones now have the following advantages

1) longer battery life (the size of the headphones is single)

2) high-quality bass sound

3) comfort

Best way to save battery with this thing is to disable LHDC and AAC. Android’s handling of AAC is mid to begin with, so while it might sound a bit better than SBC, its not worth the battery drain. and LHDC is just a drain on battery altogether. I’ve noticed the buds last a bit longer this way, even with ANC on max.

Facing the same issue, got 3 hours of usage with 40% volume and ANC OFF. All features disabled except auto detect. Got two pairs of Nothing ear 2, and they both have same battery issue.

Hi, I’m a new Ear 2 owner.

Is it really normal for the battery life to be 1.5h with anc on and a phone call? from 100% to 20% in 1.5 hours? I switched from Pixel Buds PRO where 5-7h was no problem. Is it for a claim or where is the problem?

I read some instructions here on how to turn off this and that, but it’s not a solution to have to turn off everything the headphones can do in order to use them for at least a few hours

I have the ear 2 and there is room for improvement in battery life.

Or maybe it is a lack of optimization, because the battery in terms of capacity is very similar to version 1.

I hope that the next generation has a larger capacity battery, I think about 50 mah at least

I’m very upset with Nothing, my right ear 2 only charges up to 40% (it lasts 10 minutes listening) and the left only charges up to 70%. I’ve left it charging for more than 3 hours and it doesn’t exceed R40% and L70%, I’ve done 2 resets, it’s still the same! Product is only 10 months old and I barely use it.

I have similar issues as you. My right bud is 40% max while left bud is 90% max.

I did 3x factory reset but it doesn’t help at all.

When I bought it, it was pretty good but now after two updates battery life is pretty bad. Iam only getting about an hour or an hour and a half.

After plenty of testing, i have noticed that the left bud has 10-20% less battery life than the right. I sent an email to support last week but I have yet to receive a reply. anyone else with the same issue?

Right side ear bud charge to 90% only whereas left ear bud get charge to 100% but when I reset the ear buds both get charge to 100% and after connecting with Bluetooth and using buds and charge them then again right bud charge to 90% and left to 100% . Is it normal

I had ordered an Ear 2 today and then noticed this page and read through it, I am waiting for my Ear 2 to arrive and I don’t know if I will have the same issue, if I do, I will return it and leave a status update here.

UPDATE

My Ear 2’s arrived, I charged them fully as soon as they arrived, and after 2:08 hours of use, they dropped to 50% charge. I turned off all extra features, especially when you first start using the ear 2’s, LHDC comes turned on, you need to turn it off. These are the results of my first experience, I will make a few more status updates later.
