Overall Quality
I have been using the Nothing Phone 1 for since the first day now, and overall, the experience has been quite positive. However, there are some specific points regarding the quality of the phone that I would like to highlight.
Positive Aspects
Screen: The screen is truly excellent. Despite several drops, I haven’t noticed any cracks, significant scratches, or display issues. This is a strong point of the phone.
Design: The design is unique and appealing. The glyph is an innovative feature that adds a distinctive touch.
Negative Aspects
Build Quality: This is where I encountered issues. The phone tends to deform at the angles or in the metallic parts, giving an impression of fragility. Although I am aware of the risks associated with using a phone without protection, the build quality could be improved.
Rear Cover: The rear cover has slightly shifted, particularly around the camera (top left corer). This has allowed dust to get in, making the cameras unusable. This problem is particularly frustrating as it directly affects the main functionality of the phone.
Dust Accumulation: The top of the phone and the glyph accumulate a lot of dust, which can be difficult to clean and gives a neglected appearance.
Conclusion
Overall, I am very satisfied with the Nothing Phone 1, especially in terms of the screen and design. However, improvements are needed in terms of build quality and resistance to dust. The shifting of the rear cover and the accumulation of dust around the cameras and the glyph are problems that need to be addressed to ensure an optimal user experience.
I strongly recommend that Nothing review these aspects for future models to guarantee better durability and uninterrupted functionality of the phone’s essential features.
Again I know it’s a very late comment, but who knows, maybe useful for Nothing !
