Tried that beforehand before posting this. 2160p 60hz. Doesn’t make much of a difference. The problem got only 15% better. No effective difference whatsoever. And this happens with every video and photo out there. Many people have suggested a display defect/quality issue so I’m considering SC visit

ZEN_EBL5zUgEXF I checked again, your display looks worse than mine. Better to get it checked out. The same video on my 2A has only slight crushing issue during the fades. I checked other OLED test videos where there were no dissolves and they looked fine in both 60 and 120 HZ with no crushing anywhere. In dim brightness on lock screen (before the phone is unlocked) a slight green tint is visible. In some locked apps, at around 15% brightness range the finger print unlock prompt window turns dark green with vertical lines. Raising or lowering the brightness slightly fixes the isssue. I have seen this green tint issue on lock screen on my X2 Pro too.

In lpw brightness mode and lock screen mode the display of this phone gets green and can’t see the blacks and differentiate between the colours properly it’s very annoying.

RanglaKrish A friend of mine with exact same issue visited the service centre. He got the screen replacement but it didn’t make a difference at all. You might wanna see this article I made because the root cause of this problem is mentioned here. Here it is: Nothing Phone (2a) HDR Video Playback/Display bleeding, tearing problem.

This problem will persist as long as Nothing keeps using BOE displays, in my opinion. Hence I’m not going to service centre as it won’t make a difference

ZEN_EBL5zUgEXF Are these issues exclusive to the 2a or do they also happen with 2a Plus? Figured it has a different screen, so it has to be different…

      ZEN_EBL5zUgEXF That’s really unfortunate… I guess I’ll get a Phone 2 instead.

MirzaMunawar okey then show me batman iceberg HDR video on YouTube. I wanna see if that actually fix this issue.

I think that this may be a software problem, not a hardware problem at all. I have Nothing Phone (2a) and there is no such problems. And as you mentioned, the screen is OLED so you have to expect some kind of quality decrease but that should not be as much noticible as you showed on the video, Android 15 is running fine, there for sure fixed a lot of things with this update and getting it checked out is a good idea but who knows if they can help you at all. Do you have the latest NOS 3.0 or still running 2.6?

SilentChild there have been so many posts about this issue on this topic. Nothing officials are not saying anything on it. I also raised a ticket with customer support they are not replying as well. Many people on community claims to have their screens replaced but are facing the same problem. I hope that it is a software problem and we get an upadate soon. The issue is in masses since last year.

Unfortunately i have the same issue with my nothing 2a. Except display every thing else in this phone is joy to use.

VijaysekarJ how is it that so many people are having the same issue. i am confused whether it is a hardware issue or a software bug

CMF1_hacker i really hope that it is. It’s only 3 days since i bought my device (phone 2a) and facing something like this is horrific. I can not even watch normal video on my phone.

Keep posting these problems unless they make a statement regarding this.

They are busy promoting phone 3a.

And these phone 2a user’s will not get attention after 3a’s launch.

They criticize others for minute problem in YouTube but this big problem won’t be addressed by them.

            Shame
