I recently went to a water park, there I purchased a phone cover to take the phone inside the water park so, the phone was covered but in between I took it out and there few droplets went inside inspite the phone being water resistant, the few water droplets went into it and eventually I had to keep it in a box filled with rice to soak the excess water also, the phone stopped working till then. Next morning the water which had went inside the back panel and camera lens was soaked but then there were some problems such as it’s auto rotate sensor got damaged and now it doesn’t work, also it’s charging speed has changed from 3500-4500 mA to 1200-1600 mA. Also, especially I want to talk about the after sales service like if you go there you’ll see that nothing doesn’t have there own service centres in India and you will have to wait in queue with other people came for their devices from other brands as there are only third party service centres. when I gave my nothing to them for checking after 5hrs for waiting they told me that my auto rotate sensor is damaged and debris need to be taken out of my phone, so eventually till then I was out of time so, I decline the futher service so that I can come some other time and get my phone repaired but then I was told that I will have to pay ₹450 as service charge which consisted of nothing. Then I called the nothing customer support and they knew nothing of their phone’s service cost they said to do as the service centre is saying and I will have to pay the service charge inspite my phone being under warranty.
At last I would only like to say that I didn’t thought that phone 1 would be so less water resistant, my friend who has iPhone 13 was also using it under the water without the phone protector cover for water, didn’t faced any problem in his phone and MAINLY the after sales service in India is poor.
