Yesterday i received this pair of earbuds, i like the packaging- small, simple yet refined. Installing and pairing the EAR (2) is fairly simple and easily done, the ear test i found wanting and the result of the test was a lot of mids and highs but almost no bass whatsoever. Obviously i like my music to have a full range of bass, not too much but refined enough to give some depth to the music i listen to. This was just giving me head aches to say the least, so i started playing around with the EQ settings and created two profiles- one for rap/hip-hop and one for Rock & Metal, having never done this before i found the results to be better than i had originally expected. So the overall sound is good, not great though- that honor still goes to my BOSE earbuds, which also has slightly better ANC than the EAR (2).
But besides that i love these earbuds, and i can see myself using these on a daily basis if it wasn’t for the darn battery life; ten years ago that would have been fine by me but if i’d like to travel for hours on end (say, via airplane) i’d rather take the BOSE earbuds or my Marshall headphones. I can use the BOSE earbuds for almost 9 hours straight without having to recharge them in the case, and i can use the Marshall headphones (this doesn’t have a charging case) for up to 13 hours before i need to recharge. Heck, even the OPPO ENCO X earbuds are doing better in terms of battery life, they can last me up to 6 hours (with the ANC on)
In this day and age a battery which can only last up to 3 hours, maybe 3 and half hours if you use the right settings, is just bad. I’m sorry Nothing, but it is bad and this needs to be looked at- as fast as you possibly can. If the battery would have lasted for, say, six and a half hours this set would have been a 9 for me but because the battery is draining pretty fast i am going to rate these at 7- The sound is amazing, and so is the use and interface of the app and therefore i give these a 7.
For now i’ll only use these on small trips, when i am walking, skateboarding or just doing the groceries.
@ Nothing ; definitely look into the draining of the battery, because i am not the only here experiencing this. Because as they are now i am a bit regretting paying what i paid for them.
