I’m facing a very specific issue when my Nothing Ear(2) are dual-paired with my Macbook air and my Phone (1).
Situation is as follows: let’s say I’m talking/listening on a Google meet or zoom call on the mac via Ear(2). At that moment my phone rings - this causes the phone ringtone to be heard through my Ear(2) and the mic/speaker of the ear(2) is no longer connected to the Google meet/zoom call.
Now if i reject the incoming call, the mic and speakers remain disconnected from the meet/zoom call. No one can hear me and I cant hear anyone UNTIL I get off the call and join back in.
Note that the ear(2) have not been disconnected from the laptop, they are just disconnected from that particular meet/zoom call.
I tried replicating this issue on a windows PC and in that case, even when the phone is ringing for an incoming call my voice on the mic is sent to the meet/zoom call and as soon as I reject the incoming phone call, I can seamlessly continue my zoom/meet call on the laptop with normal mic/audio through ear(2).
This is a very annoying problem because I’m on meet/zoom calls a lot and my phone also rings a lot. Even if I put the phone on silent mode, an incoming call still causes the audio and mic to stop working with the laptop conference call. The “silent” incoming call causes the ear two to “ring silent” i.e. go blank and stop receiving audio from the other device. As of now, the only real option I have is to put my phone on do-not-disturb while I’m on a laptop conference call but that’s not sustainable for me coz this is usually in the middle of the workday and I need to be available.
Please help me resolve this issue? Is there any hack I can try or can it be solved in a future firmware update for the ear(2)?
