Dialer in Android must be Google Dialer. few years back google made some of its own applications mandatory. Such as dialer messages etc.

Nope, don’t need that.

The phone app is way too important and needs regular updates, which Google does all the time.

I find Nothing is quite slow on updates right now, maybe when they become a bigger company it may be different.

GordonLutz have to remember they are still a start-up kicking some goals well above their weight. I only just got the phone (2), coming from an iPhone and looking forward to the journey!!

If u are only trying to change the google dialer because of that call recording announcement, they have removed in beta , should be soon available in stable version aswell . U can install beta version

SachinShukla_9shIWDpNUQ It is already a fantastic experience without those bloatware. You don’t like, plenty plenty plenty of choices on play store. You can also look for open source alternative for gallery app, like “Fossify Gallery.”

You want more Nothing apps so that they can become like ColorOS and also delay crucial updates like OS bugs and camera optimization. Then later come complain Nothing changed direction, become like OnePlus?

IMHO, the Google phone app/Google gallery/Google’s files are OK.

Let Nothing focus on resolving serious issues like the camera software limitations, removing the India sim locking etc.

There is a quick need for nothing Phone users to have its own Diealer and Gallery Apps.

Google Diealer is not so good and some times inconsistent as well.

The lack of gallery app is bat, in my case the Google photos storage is full so not able to see the new photos.
