I am surprised to see this issue not being discussed in a more extensive note. I have written about it here and also contacted Nothing Support, trying to provide as many details as possible (including this thread). I hope they can at least acknowledge the issue and provide an update, it is quite obvious to me that it can be improved with software updates. I really doubt it is a hardware (screen) issue, considering that it only affects the lock screen, but not the rest.
Edit: I can also confirm that removing the fingerprint unlock solves the issue, but that’s not ideal in any way.
