Issue with Battery Percentage and Charging Detection

I’m currently experiencing an issue with my phone(1) where I’m unable to see the battery percentage in the notification bar. Instead of the percentage, there’s a question mark icon(?) displayed. Additionally, the phone is unable to detect whether it’s charging or not. When I check the battery settings (Settings > Battery), it displays the message “Problem reading the Battery Meter.”

Steps to Reproduce:

Check the notification bar for the battery percentage.
Connect the phone to a charger and observe if the charging indicator appears.
Access the battery settings (Settings > Battery).

Expected Results:

The battery percentage should be accurately displayed in the notification bar.
The charging indicator should appear when the phone is connected to a charger.
The battery settings should not display any error messages.

Actual Results:

The question mark icon(?) is displayed instead of the battery percentage.
The charging indicator doesn’t appear when the phone is connected to a charger.
The battery settings display the error message “Problem reading the Battery Meter.”

Additional Notes:

The issue persists after restarting the phone.
The issue doesn’t seem to be related to any specific battery level or charging method.
The phone is running the latest available software update.

I’ve searched for potential solutions online, but haven’t found any that have worked for me. I’m hoping that someone in the community might have encountered similar issues and can provide some guidance. Has anyone else experienced this battery percentage and charging detection problem on their phone(1)? If so, were you able to find a solution? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Even I have faced the same issues just after my phone warranty has expire and I have visited the nearest service center

The service centre said about to replace the battery and it would be good to go but that wasn’t the solution and they said about motherboard issues and said that they would say the estimated price which would cost a lot

But that wasn’t expected with just a old year phone without any physical or internal damage

Probably it’s a software problem with Nothing and this should be replaced for free in the service center

I have the same problem. My nothing is new….no drops and phisiscal damage….the same problem… I’ve just switched it off onstead of reboot and it doesn’t start
