Weather app location requirements

After updating Nothing Weather app version 2.0.1 , on turning off location and locking the screen, the weather app stops showing info. Previously it used to show the weather info based upon old retrieved location.

This needs to be fixed, it is not necessary that a user can allow location all the time.

However in the same time, on lockscreen, the weather ☁️ details are showing correctly even if location is off.

(Edit)After few minutes from lockscreen also it’s not showing weather info.

I agree, I see the same behaviour, with an exception of weather widget not working for me even on the lockscreen.

If you believe this to be a bug or would prefer this to operate in an alternative way then be sure to let the team know by providing feedback, you can do so by heading to Settings > System > Feedback.

Do note that this app/service asks for location permission and may not function correctly without it.

Why is it that the weather app requires location to be on at all times to display anything? Even if you manually add a custom location, you are still asked to turn on location every time you open the app. Why can’t we just add the location manually once or use the location only once to set the default? It’s annoying to the point that I don’t even want to use the app.

Please just fix this.

Hello everyone I have face same issue after update and I had got a solution after try so many things so just try this

Open Play Store and search on installed app list for this nothing weather app so while opening that nothing weather app from Play Store u can see a update option on that app just update it

After trying that my problem is gone (NOTE it only show while we manually open it from Play Store not shows on updates app list)

Since one of the latest updates weather widget only showing weather when GPS is active. Is there a way to set a location on defalut? I want to view weather by looking ar the widget and don’t want my GPS on all the time.
