Nothing wallpaper app

I saw nothing wallpaper app was released for phone (2), waiting for the new updates for nothing phone (1) and really waiting for wallpaper app, the glass background just looks soooo gooood!!

Just to clear up some confusion. It wasn’t specifically released for Phone (2), but as mentioned in the ‘About this app’ section on the Playstore: Nothing Wallpaper is only available to Nothing OS V2.5.0 and above users. Which means at the time of writing this, it is available for people on the OBT2 (Phone 2) and CBT (Phone 1).

I have 2.5.0 Beta and the wallpaper app installed. In the Play store, the app is mentioned as installed. But there is no app anywhere in the UI. Neither as a standalone icon nor as setting section. Ideas?

novskyse This is quite common, consider that the same is true for our Widgets, which also leverage the PlayStore to benefit from updates outside of OS cycles.

Rob ⚡️ Haven’t quite got what you mean, sorry. Though have just found how the thing works and it does!

novskyse It would be a system app, that’s why you can’t see it listed. If you select show system apps in the Settings > Apps > See All Apps - tap on the 3 dots and select “Show System Apps” you will see a Wallpaper and style app listed.

Also, judging by Rob’s comment above, Nothing updates the app via the Play Store, meaning updates can happen at any time, not just with OS updates.

At this time on 1st dec im on a NOS 2.0.5 on “phone 1” and i wanna know when does Nothing company plan to provide version 2.5 for this phone?

There’s no option to set live wallpaper

Priyank long hold on the home page -> customisation -> select a static wallpaper image -> press tick to confirm -> the next page should give you options for Atmosphere and Glass, which are the main new “live” wallpaper features -> press tick again to confirm it

Is there a way to add additional albums to the wallpaper selection screen? Only get 3 currently. It makes it awkward to apply saved wallpapers from 3rd party apps (like Backdrops)

There should be a feature of wallpaper app which could change the home screen wallpaper according to the thumbnail of the song playing

We already have a beautiful music widget which shows thumbnail and if the wallpaper starts changing the colour(maybe with some textures) of the home screen wallpaper same as the theme of the thumbnail, I think it would be nice addition to have which would make it different from other OS

I know not everyone will agree with this

But yeah it’s just an idea ✌️

Musicolet App does this perfectly on nothing OS. Great place to play your offline music library with lots customisation.

I quite like the wallpapers, and it’s pretty easy to add new ones from Photos. My bugbear is when picking from Nothing wallpapers, both system and the Iconpack, when you click on one to enlarge it, you have to go back to the thumbnails to select another. It would be good if you could just scroll through them and view them full size.

Hello!

After updating Phone (1 ) to Nothing OS 2.5.2, all of nature and other photo wallpapers are gone from system settings. How can I fix this?
