Indian Pricing Depreciation

I know phones are supposed to depreciate in price over time but with Nothing Phone 2 the sudden drop in prices makes it annoying. Got the phone 2 last week and this week its already 50$ less. This would be even more frustrating for people who supported the company by pre-ordering the phone or buying it at launch. Why is there so much depreciation in price in just 4 months? Why wasn’t it priced better from the beginning? This just leaves a bad impression for the company.

SrsThewrongguy I bought the 8/128 gb model @₹37000 during the Flipkart BBD sales.

And now as per your screenshot, the higher models are being sold at very near the price I paid!

“Heartbreaks” are inevitable when a new phone starts depreciaing so rapidly after launch.

It is what it is, pricewise.

What is really disillusioning is the company is doing nothing about the hardwsre/software defects/shorcomings/glitched/bugs reported with such frequency by owners.

Bad word of mouth publicity will further hurt the phones prospects which the company doesn’t seem to realise.

It’s not Nothing that fixes prices… it’s resellers and people who sell their phones. The only brand that keeps price steady is Apple because of the trust they have and the way that you can keep your phone updated with 6+ years of major software updates.
Nothing can’t do anything about it…

Obviously N is supplying them phones at a heavily discounted price.
