Yash The local regulation doesn’t allow investments in the form of crowdfunding in the companies incorporated (registered under Companies Act) in India. But they are silent when it comes to foreign companies. Crowdcube allows everyday investors from India to invest from the platforms, but Seeders don’t. So there’s a clear ambiguity there.
My suggestion is to refrain from using Credit Cards while making investments from India, use debit card instead and contact bank afterwards to assign LRS Purpose Code (google it) to the transaction from the back end.
Since the amount won’t be huge to get attention of the higher authorities, Indians might get away with this. (Not in a illegal way, there’s not just enough guidelines regarding investing in foreign companies via crowdfunding)
And lastly consult a legal advisor if you can afford.
