I received my Ear (2) on January 2nd this year. Recently, I’ve been experiencing connectivity issues with my laptop.
ISSUE DESCRIPTION:
Normally, when I connect my earbuds to my laptop, it shows “Connected mic, audio”. However, in the last few days, it only displays “Connected” (without audio and mic). Consequently, all audio plays through the laptop’s speakers. It seems (to me) my laptop is treating the earbuds as a regular Bluetooth device instead of an audio device.
TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS TAKEN:
- Restarted my computer.
- Ensured Bluetooth is turned on and functional.
- Updated Bluetooth drivers through Device Manager.
- Forgot and re-paired the earbuds.
- Ran the Bluetooth Troubleshooter.
- Set Bluetooth Support Service to automatic.
I observed an unusual behavior in my sound settings (in control panel). When my earbuds are not connected, they are listed in the playback tab.
However, as soon as I connect my earbuds, they disappear.
