It’s already started, e.g. you can open apps when calling Gemini from Hey Google today.
In this essence, I do feel Nothing got the wrong punt on ChatGPT and shouldve thought of the Nothing OS 2.5 integrated phone experience with Gemini/Bard earlier. There are a lot of things Gemini can’t do right now, and as a user, I’d love to be delighted with Nothing solving those problems before Google got to them (like automated routines or phone control).
The ChatGPT integration is a glorified boredom fighter for entertainment purposes, but with Gemini, it can actually solve real world phone usage issues (and that’s what Nothing OS is right, a phone?) and that’s an opportunity missed.
