Phone 2a after using it for almost 3week

FYI I was beta tester at xda for very prominent devices

I felt that this chip has been underclocked or os is not that optimised to use full potential of the chip

Gaming performance as per chip is trash fps drops to 30

While on iqoo with same chip gives almost constant 60fps

Advantage of underclocking is good battery performance and less heating

But what’s the use of u can’t utilise the processor

Really disappointed with the gaming performance

No custom rom development coz of media tech chips 🙁

dharmendaryadav Nothing already released the kernel source few days ago. Custom rom support will there. A big win.

Using phone for almost 25 days. following features need to be improved:-
1. Camera(both front and back), selfies are horrible.
2. UI smoothness, lags while switching from data to wifi and vice versa.
3. Performance should be at par with what promised, the Antutu benchmark is below 700,000.

Work on these aspects and nothing’s promise of delivering a good phone in budget will be fulfilled.

Hey nothing you just pushed nothing is 2.5.4 a for nothing 2a there was a sligh better performance and camera giternes where gone but don’t know why the camera is acting weird now its freezing everything time I took out from pocket, its not even fast, the shutter speed is too slow than the mid range phones

So please fix this issue asap

MonojPaul but i do face some heat even on casual use and warming just scrolling stuffs and battery performs well for me

Phone is amazing & I love it! Everything is great:

Software - Fast and clean.
Camera - For someone who doesn’t take professional pictures, it’s amazing
Battery - Last long and charges exactly in an hour.

I just want to say, thanks Nothing for providing this phone for serfs like me! 🙃

Rob ⚡️ Hi, I have been using phone(2a)(India version) for about a month and using it has been a delight(mostly).

Let me just put out the issues I am having with the phone because there a few that can be fixed.

The fingerprint scanner is inconsistent, I have seen a few times that the scanner does not register the finger the first time even if I press firmly and the scanning itself is noticeably slow.
The google phone, messages and photos/gallery apps take a lot away from the nothing experience,(I hope you make your own apps at some point) and I personally hate using google phone app.
There is a but where while scrolling the Youtube shots the shots will freeze after playing for 1sec and all the previous shots are in same condition.(it is not a internet issue I checked on another smartphone).
The google fast pair feature will pop up repeatedly even if my TWS is already paired..

This is my experience with nothing 2(a).

Disclaimer:- It has not lived upto its hype.

Phone, gallery app is not available which spoils the experience and makes it difficult to navigate through the photos and contacts.
Camera is not consistent. I don’t know where is OIS and if it is there, does it even work. Because if my hands is even slightly moving, photos get blur.
It takes way too long to process the image, which is extremely annoying. It doesn’t even feel like a new phone.
Fingerprint is a hit or miss. Does not always work smoothly. Sometimes it does not even register the touch until you turn the screen off and on again.
Experiencing lags here and there, which is a shame. Sometimes apps crash on its own.
As others have mentioned, charging is not consistent either. It takes more than 1:30 hours to charge and sometimes even more.

I am expecting a new update which fixes these issues. Nothing team are you listening?

Rob ⚡️ the camera can be improved a lot, it even struggles in even good lighting condition sometimes

Hi Team, Bought Nothing 2a 2 weeks ago a worth buy , I had some suggestion that while call recording the Call Recording Intimation is hearing to the Opposite Party also cause it is Google OS same for photo Viewing and Files Too ,A Kind request that u guys can build your own Caller,Gallery and Also Files Folder means we are very much happy.

ARUNRAJT use the nothing recorder..don’t use the record option on the Google dialer.

Skbuddy yes buddy agree with you compare to other brands , we need to go outside the call and need to record instead of that if they (Nothing) build their own means that is easy for us right so only i gave that suggestion

hello, I made a mistake, I actually disabled the schedule Always On Display, I don’t know what was on my mind at that time, can anyone tell me how to enable it again, enabling AOD for 24 hr is juicing up all the battery I sleep with 72% and when woke up I found it 62%. so can anyone tell me how actually to disable it in the night and yes don’t tell me to go in setting and search for aod, there is a schedule and according to that AOD turns off after 10 p.m. or maybe 11 p.m.

Setting -> Lock Screen -> Scroll down to Always on Display (AOD) -> Turn on Schedule and set you preferred time
