Adaptive Refresh Rate (Phone 2a)

Hi, I’ve been using “Phone 2a” for the past 24 hours, and I’ve noticed that the Adaptive Refresh Rate isn’t functioning optimally. This could have a significant impact on battery life.

I activated the “always show refresh rate” option in developer mode and observed that the screen remains at 120hz even on the Always-On Display (AOD). It would be beneficial if this could be fixed to improve battery efficiency.

While tasks like browsing and using other apps screen adapts to 90hz, But the home screen remains at 120hz even if left untouched for minutes or hours.

you might should contact the nothing team directly via Settings, select System, and then choose Feedback.

This is the best way to ensure that your comments and observations are directly relayed to the appropriate teams.

Not working for me too, it was working on the first boot but after that it stopped working.

hope nothing fixes this cause i too checked it via after enabling dev settings and it does not dial down the refresh rate

Does anybody have the same issue with their phone’s screen refresh rate during stand by mode? mine is consistent at 120hz even on idle or standby mode, it doesn’t adjust to 60hz as it should even in dynamic display refresh rate…

I’m having the same issue on my Nothing 2a which I just purchased yesterday. I’m on the lastest software update but the issue still exists. I hope they fix it as it does impact battery life, was hoping it would stay at 30hz when idle or on AOD but it just stays at 120hz.
