Thick Status Bar on Most Apps

I love the design of the phone, but every time I see the camera and status bar on some apps, it really bothers me. Why is the status bar so thick that when you look at the front camera, the bottom part is thicker

This is actually the same on a lot of other devices too. A lot of apps are like this for compatibility reasons especially since most displays now have curved corners. It just helps provide optimal viewing without losing content.

You can actually force most apps to go full screen. That might help if you’ve not already considered that.
