SRM_008 I bought it from Samsung store. I checked its physical appearance and body, it is authentic. Samsung will not ship you duplicate Samsung products I think… I checked the my charger with a Xiaomi phone and it was working good like delivering near 20 watts of power consistently….

when the hotspot is on and using other laptop with nothing phone 2a hotspot then the device is taking too much time to charge than normal.. please fix it

Using a hardware charge meter, plugging in the original Nothing 45w charger and cable only gives me 15watts. Unplugging and plugging it again, it magically gives me 25watts max. Wth is this? Screen is off while testing. Also have tried using anker 313 45w and still giving me the same results.

JulianDeLeon I have exactly the same. I ordered charger meter from AliExpress and it show 25W maximum power of charging.

This is the problem we encountered here in the Philippines,,,dont know if Nothing lied on 45 watts fast charging speed….its annoying to unplug and plug just be able to get the charging speed and i get only 25 watts maximum on my Watts Reader…the wear and tear on charging port was double for unplug and plug….please Nothing fix this.

JoseOngKaTsinoyTV it was a marketing gimmick 45 watt to sell there 45 watt or cmf charger ..i had done a details testing and had posted(refer my post) some of my test results with various type of chargers and wires with emark rating on it …but the result is same it charges max at 25 watt…few YouTube videos u can refer where they have mentioned the same concern

We all should raise a complete in consumer portal that Brad has done false promise of charging ratings …i can only see this option …

JoseOngKaTsinoyTV Just switch off and on the power supply. It works for me consistently. No need to plug out / in.

WojciechKwiecien Indeed it is not acceptable. All I’m trying to say is to follow the workaround until Nothing fixes the issue. I’m not sure if this is SW or HW issue. At least one can avoid plug/unplug of cable which can damage longevity of the charging ports. It is just my recommendation to everyone who is facing the issue. Nothing should look into this matter seriously and solve the issue ASAP (as long as it is not a HW issue or limitation). We have to wait…

JeffiEdward that’s why I still consider to return the phone. Buying this phone I was thinking “ok, maybe it’s not even 65W but 45 also should be ok after very long charging in my old xs max.” I know that is budget phone but it works really nice but power of charging it’s unacceptable. It’s just big disappointment after all of promises from Nothing.

I would do the same if a product visibly deviates from the advertised product features.

I think Charging speed is Inconsistent because of the temperature…whenever I’m charging the phone in my air conditioned room. The phone will get full charged in 40-50minutes and when I try to charge the phone in normal room temperature..it takes above 1 hr - 1:40hrs to fully charge the phone.

Skbuddy ok, maybe you’re right but the phone is never even close to 45W. It charges with maximum of 25W.

WojciechKwiecien 45W speed will take 40-50minutes to get fully charge the phone.

it takes me about 1 hour from 40% to 100% even with a 33w charger

I had a correspondence with a Nothing representative over email. They said that 45w charging is only possible when the temperature is at 25deg Celsius. SO THIS PHONE CANNOT FAST CHARGE IN THE MAJORITY OF ASIA? No other phones require 25degC before fast charging to their max charging wattage. And even then, why does the charging speed up whenever it is plugged and unplugged???? This is frustrating.

So you can only advertise it as fast-charging capable for six months a year in India (because the average temperature in India is above 25% degrees Celsius in six out of twelve months)? 😂
