A tablet would be a good device to have in a ‘unified’ android system, but Nothing needs to streamline the basics with a smartphone first, other android companies are still struggling to develop a streamlined experience across all their devices (phone/tablet/laptop/desktop).
If Nothing can get at least the smartphone sphere to work seamlessly with other smaller smart devices (watches/audio/smart home devices), this would change the game with Android. Sorting out this, will make a tablet more feasible in terms of connectivity.
Probably the most major obstacle is the tablet experience, Nothing will have to really focus on strong concept to make a solid tablet experience. Android tablet makers are still struggling to develop a convincing experience for customers to switch from the ‘PadOS’ experience. Personally use an Android tablet due to flexibility, but ‘potential usage’ compared to ‘actual usage’ is heavily limited by an unpolished experience (e.g. ease of document access and note-taking, sharing documentation across multiple services) etc. It’s possible, but the user experience is key to a successful tablet.
