Close all recent apps...

Why do you have to scroll all the way to the left to close them all down. Any way of making this sit below the last app or to the right. Not great ux to always scroll left to close them all. Any way of moving the close all apps button or a different way of doing it? Thanks

GlenCalvert That depends, opening and closing an app 10 times a day for example, causes more battery drain then leaving it open in the background all the time.

Clearing apps used to be a reasonable thing to do back when phones had about 2 or 3 GB of RAM, but these days, when 8 is the standard, there is much less of a need for the average person.

the location of the button is absolutely non-functional and quicker access to it would have been more judicious

The issue here is not whether we should clear recent app more often or not. The issue is why clear all button is given on extream left. It could have been on right or at bottom to make it easier. They have made things difficult to look different from others.

Same, I have like a “toc”, I always want to close tabs, and often I have more than 10 applications open, and do I have to go all the way to close them? Nonsense🤔

I believe this is a personal preference, but in my opinion I always advice against closing all apps. For me it’s a habit people created in the early days of Android which they keep using, while they shouldn’t.

The common thought is closing background apps will improve battery life, speed up your phone, and reduce data usage. However, you can actually do more harm than good. It all comes down to how Android was designed to run apps.

Android was specifically made to have a bunch of apps in the background. When the system requires more resources, it will automatically close apps for you. It’s simply not something you need to do yourself.

Plus, it’s a good thing to have apps running in the background. They will launch very quickly when you open them, making your phone feel faster. That doesn’t mean every app you’ve ever opened is sitting there eating up resources. Android will close unused apps as needed. Again, it’s not something you have to manage yourself.

In fact, all of that closing and opening can have a negative effect on performance. It takes more power to open an app from a cold state compared to one that is already sitting in the memory. You’re taxing the CPU and the battery, which will have the exact opposite effect that you were intending.

Hey,

The tab clear all will be more helpful in recent apps if it switches at tab screen slot.

We use the three-finger shortcut to take screenshots. Ultimately,

the advantage is that we no need to go at last to clear all apps tab.

In the upcoming update, I hope you will take that into consideration.

you can put the close option in the beginning of the recent opened apps. it will be easier for users to close all apps at once. currently user has to scroll towards extremely left end to close all the app

may be it would better to give it on right side of most recent app so we dont have to scroll all the way to left.
