My phone battery is draining too fast. Sometime it will last only 3 minutes in one percent battery.

Hello,

I have the 2a plus but the same problem.

The mobile phone loses up to 15% battery overnight, not always. But quite frequently and without any recognisable pattern.

What I found out with the GSAM Battery Monitor app is that it is not an app that causes the problem but the kernel itself.

In the graph of the app you can see that the mobile phone goes into deepsleep normally after a while and the processor clocks down. But then the problem occurs. Without the mobile phone being used, the processor utilisation goes to 100%. Fortunately, the processor does not clock up to 100%, otherwise the mobile phone would be empty in the morning!

In the monitor app, you can see that the system kernel has utilised the mobile phone and not an app.

Therefore, this problem can only be fixed by updating Nothing!

Here is another screenshot of the Monitor app:

The mobile phone has been charged to 80%. Used for a while and then not touched again. As you can see, the clocking and usage is going down, as it should be. But then at around 9 pm the usage goes up to 100% and the clock rate increases. At the end of the screenshot you can see a small peek when I use the mobile phone again.

I have reported all this. But as always, nothing happens.

Nothing is a brand like all the others. A lot of fuss about the alleged connection to the community. But at the end of the day, it’s all hot air and it’s all about the money.

Buy the product, shut up, don’t bother and buy a new product soon.

Merged 1 post from Battery drain issue .

Is this good or bad? It’s been 12 days I bought 2a. First 2 days battery backup was top notch but the latest update I feel like battery is draining faster.

Is the issue fixed with OS3 update? Can someone confirm

While I was gaming with my nothing 2a my battery drain from 89% to 66% in one hours and in Normal use the phone battery drain like 20%in one hour this is the worst battery backup I get in a new phone help me to solve it

Share with us yours battery usage pic without gaming.

Yes brother. The battery is draining too fast while gaming .But normal use it is ultimately super for me

plays heavy fps games on a non gaming phone

      Expects everything to go fine

      When will you learn ?

pixcel25 bro in first several months it’s give like 7% drop in 1 hours of gaming now it increases like 27% .

        Check battery health in settings

You can check this if you are in beta program

The prompt is too generic. If you expect support or want to make the discussion useful you should need to name the game you are using.

I am not a game expert, but I guess there’s is a lot of difference playing “2048” or “ultra detailed 3D game with online mode”.

Well, if you played 2048 and lost 20% battery in an hour for sure is a battery drain, otherwise may just be the game too power hungry.

same battery drain issue in my 2a plus also, i use whatsapp and instagram and around 10 calls per day.. but battery backup still not good. I getting screen on time of around 6 hours only.

Also my phone is just 8 days old, with 65W GAN charger my phone getting charge very quick like 3% in 1 minute. i dont know whether it should charge with this speed. or it putting stress on battery.
Please help me out with this.

sve-gro looks like a malware app, who is starting activity and 9 pm. They have the ability to cloak themselves and often are mistaken for legit stuff. I may be wrong though, so it could be a crashed system app who is draining battery. In this case a factory reset would correct this, unless you are very good at debugging and find the problem. I’m not affected by this, never had a drain, just a nasty bug with charging, I opened ticket to Nothing, but latest firmware didn’t solve. Good luck solving your issue.

The problem doesn’t occur often enough for a malware app, and I can see in the GSAM Battery Monitor app that the kernel is the problem. Unfortunately not exactly which process of it. What would be the point of finding out exactly which process is causing this. I couldn’t do anything about it anyway.

I also did a factory reset and the problem was still there afterwards. (without installing any apps)

I haven’t installed any ‘weird’ apps either, just the ‘usual’ stuff and not even that much of it.

I now have no hope that the problem will be fixed. There are too many things that are wrong and Nothing doesn’t care.

Battery drain, charging performance lower than advertised, touch sensitivity, pale colours, inconsistent low backlighting and so on.

All things that have been reported and discussed here in the forum, but nil happens. No real bugs are fixed but rather new features like the shared widget are added. *slow clap*

The 2a plus is my first Nothing Phone and most likely the last.

It’s the same rubbish as OnePlus. At the beginning everything is great and fresh, but after a short time everything falls apart and the quality drops.

If your Nothing Phone (2a Plus) drains quickly despite minimal use:

          1. Check Background Usage: Close unnecessary apps and limit auto-sync.

          2. Review Battery Stats: Identify apps consuming excess power in Settings > Battery.

          3. Optimize Settings: Switch to 4G, lower brightness, and enable power-saving mode.

          4. Update Software: Ensure your phone runs the latest version.

          5. Factory Reset (Last Resort): Reset the phone if issues persist, but back up data first.

If the problem continues, contact Nothing support for assistance or a replacement.

I am a nothing phone 2a user and phone is only 6 month old and I am facing battery drainage issues with the new update released on November (security patch) so I request nothing to fix it with next update
