So I’ve had the 2A now for about a week or so. I’m in California USA on T-Mobile for reference. I also have the Phone 2. OK performance wise, the 2A is pretty good, no issues really. I did notice some lag and stutter a bit at times, but that was it really. I do not game so can’t comment on that. Build quality is also good, feels great in the hand and feels premium. Not as good as the normal 2, but pretty good. Camera can’t notice a difference the 2A takes good photos, not excellent or great but good photos. I do not take video so can’t comment on that. Now onto cell coverage and signal. If I leave everything to default network settings its decent. Sending text messages and calling works just fine. Surfing the web or watching videos it will buffer from time to time. Ran a few download speed tests and was getting like 40-50 down and like 10 up. With the Phone 2 I get like 800 down and like 80 up. So then I switched to standalone 5G and man did that make a difference, I was now getting like 600 down and like 50 up. Calling and texting still worked great and when watching video it really didn’t buffer anymore. After checking T-Mobile 5G coverage map, the Bay Area where I am is pretty much covered in several bands of 5G so that’s why standalone worked so well. I love the matte black color of the 2A. I really hope that the Phone 3 comes in matte black as well, because that is the one thing I do not like about the phone 2, is the color choices. I hate grey and I hate white, but I hate grey more so I went with the white, the lesser of two evils really lol. Oh also the speakers on the 2A are OK, not quite as good as the normal 2, but passable. Also could careless about synthetic benchmarks, those mean nothing in real life situations. I do wish it had wireless charging though, that would have been great.
