Nothing phone concept - with e-ink

This is a concept for a new phone. The presence of an E-lnk screen on the rear panel is an interesting design decision and can be used to check the time or battery level of the headphones without picking up the phone. And the screen itself uses low energy consumption.

Nice idea, I find that glyphs don’t show me all of the information I sometimes need so would love to see a small e-ink display on the back to compliment the glyphs and show additional information I’ve chosen. I like your glyph design too! Was there anything that inspired you? It kinda looks like a stick person to me 😄

adbo To be honest, I was inspired by the idea of a black and white screen even before the release of the first nothing phone model. The very fact that the phone has a black and white screen is very visually interesting. But still, colors are important, so the main screen, of course, remains in color. But no one talked about the back of the phone).

MatveiKovyrushin Yeah it’d be very useful to show some critical information too such as phone battery level and maybe even high priority notifications. I find that using the Essential Glyph light just makes me pick up my phone to see the context of a notification anyway

adbo Yes, I think if we bring this idea to the end, the results will not be bad) The first thing that came to mind was time and headphones, but notifications are also a cool idea, and in black and white, I think it will be very cool).

I really like the concept, perhaps I would add more transparencies to respect Nothing’s design line a bit, however the E-Ink screen seems great to me, I find it an interesting addition. Maybe another thing I would change would be the long glyphs on the bottom of the phone, for some reason I like them more around the cameras, I think they would look better there or around the E-Ink screen

Mario M Thanks, I think if they want to make such a phone in reality, they will finish it😅. I just emphasized that you can make such a small screen behind, little detail, but I think, in any case, a large company will turn out to be more interesting than one person, I did it for myself🤣.

Tbh the aesthetic nature of e-ink screens seems very suitable for a good Nothing product.
