ghumnewala yes. But they won’t help with conveying more info, since we’ll be stuck with 1 color, similar to what we have now.

RGB colours will be good if added. But it kind of reduces the uniqueness of nothing phones

akeletamarakuro111 by uniqueness I believe you mean the clean aesthetic and simplicity? Yes, that’s pretty much the only challenge that’s stopping this feature right now

MPMMS that’s a good idea. This will maintain the phone’s aesthetics while providing access to the feature for those who wanna try it.

Ajushp_snath I assume you have done this:

Open the contacts app on your phone and save the exact contact name as “Abra” (Phone 1) or “Alakazam.” (Phone 2)
Then go to Settings > Glyph Interface > Ringtones.
Tap on ‘Add a contact’ and set a ringtone for Abra/Alakazam contact.
Then make sure to save it with any ringtone for Abra/Alakazam contact.
Go back to Glyph Interface settings, you will see the Music Visualisation option.
Now simply tap on the toggle to use it.

Interesting discussion and I appreciate everyone has their own preferences. I quite like the simplicity of a singular colour for now, as it doesn’t detract too much from the device. Perhaps a singular red - the Essential Glyph for instance - could work in keeping with the Nothing Design language 🤔

From user perspective glyphs could easily work like the old notification LED feature on smartphones:

Red pulse on low battery
Solid red during charging
Solid green when charging is finished and charger is still connected
Different colours for notifications between apps
Etc

People who found this useful when it was a feature they will appreciate the existence of it no matter what Nothing’s Design Language or principles are.
