Brutalism is an architectural style characterized by rough concrete,angular geometric structures with no decoration.It was popular in 1950s and 1960s,but nowadays this architectural style becomes very rare due to demolition and reconstruction.
I referenced the stripes of some Brutalism buildings,and changed some of the textures turn to be a rougher texture to make it feel more like concrete.I also plan to add recycled plastic particles when producing some parts to simulate the sand and gravel in concrete.
At the same time, I kept some elements of the original phone (2a),like the red square and wire’s texture,because I think those are important elements of phone (2a).Also the polycarbonate rear is completely transparent,so you can see more details about textures.
their structure and texture,this point is very close with Nothing’s design language.And I think using an architectural style to design a phone is an innovative idea.This is why I choose Brutalism as the theme of this community edition.
