I have green line on my nothing phone (1) it happened after the update on september 2024 .. then for 1 week i could still use but after that the touch stopped working. Touch works sometime though but still for like maximum 1 minute thats all. It’s been more than 1 year that i got the phone so it is out of warranty too. At first there was a pink line then it started to become colourful then it changed to green and now it’s a vertical block of green line on the left side and there is a white horizontal block on bottom.

This is how the phone is right now. I forgot to say the dead pixel started at bottom left after that update i ignored it at first then came the green line.

Hi all. I have had my eye on Nothing phones since they first appeared, and having been an iPhone user since 2009, I have finally decided it’s time for a change. Super bored with the lack of design changes etc.

I currently have a 14Pro and I am well aware that the 2a is a mid-range phone and this is a downgrade, I’m cool with that.

My concern though (and I know places like this only generally have issues posted in them rather than the good stuff) is the reports of screens with green lines on etc and also screen burn. I am yet to see Nothing address these from the multiple posts on here.

Could someone tell me if it is just models made in a certain place that have these issues, or all of them? Am I right in thinking some phones are made in China, and some in India?

I love the design of the 2a and also NothingOS (although I’d like to see Ndot stay!), despite hating most Android devices like the one I use for work (Samsung).

Daz82 i can say to you that premium devises like pxel 8 also have a green lines issue,

i can tell you that i use my np2a for 3 months ant haven’t saw a screen burn and a green lines issue, just don’t use AOD and all we be great and yours bettery too 🤗

vovan-v Yeah I’ve seen pictures on Reddit of a Pixel 9 with the green line. I just don’t buy this ‘it’s an inherent thing with AMOLED screens’ I keep seeing. Glad to hear yours is working great though 👍🏼

I recently noticed a green tint on screen on low brightness

This problem is with many nothing users whether it is phone 1,2 or 2a

The issue is in software i guess because if we turn off fingerprint the green tint goes away

But while using fingerprint it stays on whole display

This problem is in all the phones with in display fingerprint.

Try turning off indisplay fingerprint and check if the tint is still there or not

AbhinavKV Even I had faced the similar issue in my nothing phone 2a green line in dark mode and visible only when the surrounding area is dark same problem in video quality in Amazon prime and the issue is not with the app but with display. I did get my display change but the issue still persist and the service centre staff & nothing technical team said this is the natural phenomenon of OLED display and it will be like this only. They are fooling their customers. In their job sheet they report this issue as green tint. Also post getting display changed I have now started getting problem in my calls the other person can’t hear my voice in one go we have to keep saying hello and I did check the networks are full and no problem with sim
