Gallery Empty When Selecting Photos for Photo Widget

Hi,

I have all the photos synchronized and in Google Photos I can see and access them, but it is as if they are not there when I try to attach an image from the photo widget, or from WhatsApp, it appears as if the gallery is empty

Hey 👋

Are the photos local on device, Google Photos In the cloud or both?

When selecting photos you can press the three dots and press cloud media. Check whether Google Photos is ticked to allow this.

Otherwise you can also try removing the widget and re-placing it if you haven’t already done so.

I don’t know where to indicate in Google photos to download the photos locally and not only available in the cloud

RaulLomi you can test by navigating to an image preview in Google photos, long pressing and selecting download, or you can open up an image, press the three dots in the top corner and press downloads this way.

If your images are already showing as being on-device then try the other steps I mentioned above.
