I am using a Ooono Co-Driver 2 in my car and recently switched to a Nothing Phone (2).
The Co-Driver is a small device that warns you when you approach dangerous spots, traffic jams, accidents, etc. on your route. It notices when the car starts moving and then connects automatically to your phone via Bluetooth. If the car ist stationary for a longer period, the device will disconnect automatically.
This worked absolutely fine with my old phone. I could keep the phone in my pocket and as soon as my car started moving, the Co-Driver connected to my phone without any problems.
But since I switched to Nothing Phone (2) this won’t work anymore. The Co-Drive won’t connect until I interact in some kind with my phone, for example activating the display or connecting a charge cable. I don’t need to unlock the phone, just any interaction will do to activate the connection.
I granted the corresponding Ooono app on my phone every permission, location services, Bluetooth and mobile data are constantly activated.
Energy saving options for the app have been deactivated as well as all global battery saving and smart battery settings.
I have no idea what’s the problem. The Co-Driver seems to work fine, as it workes with my old phone seemlessly. Id seems to be a some kind of a problem with the Nothing OS.
Any ideas? 😢
