Phone 2 overheating during gaming.

I play Efootball 2024 on mobile. Phone 2 was performing really great and never heated up until I updated my phone to 2.5.5. From there it started overheating and dropping frames. In about 15 minutes my phone would reach 40c and start dropping frames. Then I went to service centre for screen issue and they flashed the software and rolled it back to 2.5.3 and it started to perform great again without any heating during gaming. I updated it back to 2.5.5 and the heating issue came back with a bang. Now I updated it to 2.5.6 but still the heating issue during gaming is there and it reaches 40C pretty fast. Ambient temperature where I live is around 15C to 20C max. Everything else is running smoothly except gaming performance. Also battery life is great and there is no any abnormal drain. Hope there is a fix. Otherwise I will have to replace my device with another one.

I wanted to know if any one you have faced similar issue?

MadOne My phone too heats up when gaming. I stopped playing games.

MadOne its summer now every phones are going to get heated , plus if you’re gaming that’s definitely going to make your phone feel like nuclear reactor.

Why did you update again 😂 On the contrary, for me, playing brawl stars and squad busters heated and drained alot. I uninstalled the game as my battery is more important. Tried it after 2.5.6, no heating or excessive draining during gaming. Just a general warmth. I’m from Chennai 27° - 33°

xalgredlax summer is not the culprit here. Before 2.5.5 update I played the game in scorching summer temperatures of excess of 40C and the device never ever overheated. Right now the place where I live has Max temp of 19 C and even then device is heating up. Its definitely with the software update.
