Changing WhatsApp app notification sound

I am using nothing phone 2. I cannot change notification sound for WhatsApp, if to do so I need to change sound for each WhatsApp chat individually. Can anyone help me is there any solution

Have you tried overriding the default notification sound? Long press the app > App Info > Notifications. Scroll all the way beyond the conversations to the “Chats” section, tap Message notifications > Sound. Here you can choose a new notification sound/pattern.

Actually the issue lies in multiple levels. WhatsApp has in app customisation but. The phone is overriding it. Next (through settings) if u want to customise notification for an app it is not possible you have to customise notification for the type of notification in an app like “chat message” or “group notification”. Can’t there be a way to fix this and have a single stop notification customisation for the app as a whole and not notification category tone.. Further in WhatsApp it’s another level of difficulty as whatsapp further take the notification settings to conversation level where u can customise for each conversation in the settings. Which is hectic to do for every convo and a convo is dynamic what if a new guy texts me then again the default notification is ringing

Is there any fix to it?
