Widget Stacking for Nothing OS

I think it would be pretty useful and aesthetically pleasing if Nothing could add an option for stacking widgets to the NothingOS. Something like we get with get with iOS and iPadOS. It’s quite handy and helps keep the homescreen from getting too cluttered.

Nothing already has a similar implementation with its chatgpt widget, wherein we can swipe down to access the different ways we can interact with chatgpt (voice, text, image). A similar use case could be made available for other widgets as well.

For instance, I do use a stock market widget from trading view on my home screen and I would like to use the Media Player widget from Nothing as well. But the problem I have now is that it’d make my homescreen too cramped with widgets, especially when I have no music or podcast playing. What I’d very much appreciate would be the ability to stack my stock market and media player widget in such a way that I can keep the stock market widget in view when I have no media playing. This would be much more pleasing on the eyes and much more functional.

A smart stack would also be good, kinda like what we have with iOS and IpadOS.

Since nothing OS puts a lot of emphasis on widgets, I really think having an option to stack widgets (like how iOS and One UI does) can be a great addition to the feature set.

This is especially great if you want to show off your wallpaper or wanna go minimal but don’t want to miss out on NOS’s excellent widget functions.

Hope this comes as a feature soon 😄

I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out to request the introduction of stack widgets for Nothing Phone. Given the focus on a minimalist and streamlined user experience, stack widgets would greatly complement this vision. They would allow users to organize multiple widgets in a clean and efficient way, reducing home screen clutter while retaining functionality.

I don’t know if this would work because we already have different widgets that scroll vertically as would the stacked ones so how can you identify the gesture to move the stack and not the widget itself?

Horizontal stack wont work because it would interfere with the page changing :/
