It’s been more than a year but still there is lack of optimization even when compared to the mid/budget tier phone(for e.g. Nothing phone 2a).
Speaker, Haptics and even in the software department nothing phone 2 feels inferior. I understand that phone 2a out numbered in sales by a lot. But this is not a cheap phone the hardware or software atleast should justify it’s cost as we trusted the brand and it’s CEO.
People are using wavelet EQ to tune their speakers. While I would say it is not perfect but it somewhat does the job. The top earpiece speaker still makes the most annoying crackling sound. Where even my 20k samsung phone sounds 10 times better. But here it either gets better or worse with each updates.
Phone 2a speakers sound with almost no distortion at all and it’s Haptic feels tight.
And then finally coming to the phone 2’s camera… It’s terrible when capturing humans. Something weird goes on with the camera where we can notice dark patchy spots on the skin.
I’m a nothing fan, but these things make me sad. I understand that nothing has a small team. In this case it is better even to take 2-3 months to sort out all these problems and release a stable update.
