Highlights
First, we would like to take the opportunity to reflect back.
Early in July, we celebrated the launch of Phone (1). A live broadcast from our very own London Design office. This was a celebration of friends, partners and you, our community. It set a new standard for keynotes out there. And street parties. Down below are some snapshots:
Over 95,000 concurrent viewers on the keynote and over 750,000 views under an hour. And is now at over 1.5M views.
We broke records on Flipkart with 1.3M searches on launch day and 10M people registered for Notify Me.
MKBHD’s “The Nothing Phone LOOKS Different” video achieved 7.8M views (the highest viewed video on his channel this year) - enough views for him to make a follow-up video to discuss how crazy the view count is. That’s more views than Apple WWDC-related videos.
Phone (1) has continued to launch across the world, with exciting local events in Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Spain.
Since the launch, you’ve been giving continuous feedback. And we’ve been listening. Nothing OS has already received 3 major updates. With crucial bug fixes and new features. All thanks to you. And, there’s more. We’re refining how we capture your feedback to better direct the work our team is doing. To prioritise what features and fixes they develop. But we’re not rushing it. There’s no compromise for us when it comes to your experience. Nothing OS will keep getting better. In fact, there’ll be some big things just around the corner. So keep an eye out.
Community life
This is where we share what has happened inside our community in the past quarter.
We all know the road hasn’t been smooth. Alongside all the success we also wanted to acknowledge the challenges we’ve had, and the issues you’ve reported to us, in quality control and customer service. There are big learnings to be taken. And we’re not taking a backseat on this one. We’ve expanded the scope of our Customer Support services. With more agents. More ways to contact us. And easier returns. And we’re launching improvements in the production line, to ensure Phone (1)’s quality continues to impress. Keep reporting back to us. We’re listening carefully. On that note, the entire Nothing team would like to extend our gratitude to you for your support and patience throughout these challenges.
Over on our Discord, @Chris has proven to be an excellent Web3 guru for all other Dot holders and aficionados. With very welcome, and much appreciated, tips on blockchain and crypto.
On Twitter, @GadgetsBoy shared his take on beautiful and sunny Paris, through the lens of his Phone (1). No filter. Just stunning images.
And we’re delighted to welcome a newcomer to the Power User team. @Court echoes the values and behaviours of a true Nothing community member. Court has great experience with tech brands and customer support. And has been great at helping others find their answers around the community platforms. Feel free to reach out to him and say hi.
What’s coming next
We have news. We’re officially re-introducing our community during Q4. As we grow, it’s crucial to have the right foundations in place, so that we can expect the best from each other. That’s all we’ll say for now.
Our community team has prepared a series of workshops to show you how we shape our software, and also ourselves as a brand. Keep an eye out on Discord to stay ahead of the curve. We look forward to more chances to meet and interact with the Nothing team in real life. Think immersive experiences. Coming later this year.
Dots is going to evolve. Our recent Dots meet-up was a success, but it also made us reflect on the work we still have to do to give you a real picture of what this program means to us. Community members and supporters – we’re all dots. Sharing the common goal of supporting Nothing. So we want to reward those who have and will contribute the most. That’s what we’re working on. More comms will be shared in due course to let you know how to make the most of it.
And we’ve been tinkering with something else… Who knows, we might end up collaborating on something more than just tech. Something that represents you and us, as one. Stay tuned for more. We’ll be in touch.

Update from your Community Board Observer
Our Community Board Observer (CBO), @Rob ⚡️, attended his first board meeting and proudly represented our community by raising urgent topics. Here’s his update:
I had the opportunity to amplify many of the thoughts and issues raised by the community over the past quarter, particularly regarding the launch of Phone (1). Issues with Flipkart customer service, the disappointing pre-order experience and early reports of hardware issues were top of my agenda. The board was receptive and engaged with our contributions and appears to be actioning several changes already. I was also able to share some positive feedback, including the popularity of Phone (1)'s design, in addition to the demand for more in-person events for the community.
After less than two years since the company was founded, I’m encouraged by what has been achieved so far. The team is moving with great speed and intent and I look forward to seeing the product lineup expand by the end of the year.
