My ear 1 just crossed the 1 year mark when the left ear bud casing casing separated because of a glue issue. I took it to the authorised service centre nearby where they were handing out new replacements like candies to anyone with any minor issue. This is slightly concerning with regards to the amount of waste generated or how are the returned ear 1’s being repurposed. Now coming back to my issue, they mentioned that they could not authorize a replacement for me as I had a small customer induced damage on the case and the product as a whole is replaced in any case. I did not want a replacement just some way to glue the earbud back together as any normal superglue would leave a mark. It would be much better if repair was offered instead of replacement in cases like these, or I am not sure if repair wasn’t being offered only in this particular service centre. I was able to fix mine with superglue but it left tiny marks in a couple of places which again, is not ideal but nothing that affects the functionality as well.

In summary, it’d be better if there are more repairs available instead of just replacements, at least in India.

    Hi, I have a similar issue with the Nothing Ear1. I bought them from Tokopedia, an online store in Indonesia, on July 10, 2022. I tried to file a complaint with the seller, but there was no response. I feel disappointed. Any advice would be appreciate.

    Same issue with me, service centre asked me to pay 4000 INR against which they will give Ear2

    This is stupidest thing

    At the cost of 7500 INR Nothing didn’t managed correct glue being it for ear1 or customer’s trust.

    With this ideology, nothing will never win the hearts.
