Hi all, I’ve already seen a couple posts about the Cyrillic alphabet not being supported, resulting in the characters to be displayed as square boxes but eventually getting an update.

However lots of people are having the same issue with the Greek alphabet, receiving messages in Greek results in square boxes.

A few people have asked the question in comments, however no answer was given, hence I decided to post.

Dear Nothing, should we expect support for Greek characters, if so when?

Thanks in advance.

Louis ☕️ Hey, I did so. I just hope we can get some exposure through the community too. I’ve had the watch for a few days now, and I really like it for what it is, but the lack of Greek alphabet is deeming it useless most of the time in terms of notifications.

I can understand Nothing probably doesnt officially sell the products in Greece, but I’m sure there are many users like me who live abroad yet most their communication is in Greek. It’s just so disappointing everytime I receive a notification and 9/10 times I have to reach for my phone to read it, because I just see square boxes…

It’s so sad to buy a smart watch and not being able to read your notifications! Greek characters are not recognized and they are replaced with little squares. I love the watch but this makes it practically useless and i can not wear it! Even Chinese $20 watches support all characters. Is it something that is going to be fixed soon or should we just return the watch?

please add Greek CodePage for support of Greek characters in messages in display.

I’d recommend providing OS feedback via the CMF Watch App > Profile tab > User Feedback > Suggestion

Got my watch 2 pro, and also doesn’t support Greek. So sad, i also when i receive a notification and 9/10 times i have to reach for my phone to read it…🙄

I expect that our watch pro 2 will support the Greek Language in the upcoming months, this will add extra value to the user experience.

We expect Greek language support for the first watch several months… today there was an update for the CMF app and is about AI…

    NOTHING about Greek language support…

    Waste of money…

Really guys? 2024 and no support for Greek alphabet? My son has a smartwatch from Temu and can read Greek letters with no issues. There is no way I would buy it if I knew that.

    Guess what…

Nothing watch pro had an update..

    Again no Greek characters support…

    Well done guys!

Greek characters are replaced with white squares so I have to use my phone to read notifications which makes the smartwatch useless…

Although I am used to just getting the notification on the watch but only opening the content on the phone, I can say that issue should be addressed fast. I am considering purchasing the cmf watch pro 2, and the only thing stopping me is the lack of support for Greek language.

I can safely say that I primarily use the English language on practically every device, so this would not be really an issue if there weren’t people that use the Greek language for communication (including me), but still communication within one’s country should be convenient especially if there is a market there for the product.

I have faith that the issue will be resolved. Again, my personal preference would be to use my phone for the actual content of this communication, but I get that having the convenience to do it with the watch is a must these days.
